A Satellite Phone is an appropriate electronic when there is a blackout, because you would be able to get in contact with other people- possibly asking for help. Getting in contact with people, whether being the paramedics or police, family, or friends is all a desire during a situation of a blackout. I personally would bring a phone because I can text and call. In addition, users would be able to go online, check your email, and maybe even play some games in between. Finally, you might even be able to check when your local power company plans for the power to come back on!
Bringing my Kindle is also something I would bring. In my Kindle, I have plenty of books that would keep me busy during a blackout. In addition, I can buy books because of the 3G plan on it. It is easily accessible, which makes consumers’ life a lot easier. Compared to the Book Reader on the iPad, Kindle still tops the iPad in the area of reading. This is because Kindle is much easier to read in the sun, does not waste battery, has a less chance of being stolen, and is much lighter than the iPad.
Another key electronic I would bring is my iPod Touch. Many people in the world today have iPod Touches. This is because people use it for many occasions. Whether it is listening to music or playing games- the iPod Touch is very useful in both cases! I use my iPod Touch mainly for listening to music, and it is a very easy to use tool. It is portable, and easy to carry, as well!
There are many essential electronics we, as consumers use and want. But, if there was a power outage, which three electronics would you want? Three essential electronics that I would bring are a Satellite Phone, a Kindle, and my iPod Touch. These three easy to use and portable electronics would keep me very busy during a blackout! If you ask a user of these products, why would you use them? They would simply answer, “Because it is essential and small.”
