Freedom is Worth Fighting For
I (seventh grader) enjoyed this book because the author creates a vivid image into your mind about the setting and actions taking place. While reading this book, there is a series of pictures that can be clearly imagined from all of the authors’ descriptive words to your mind. I also enjoyed this book because you learn a lot by reading it. There are a lot of interesting facts in the book about the American Revolutionary War. (Did you know, that being a messenger was very hard at that time? They usually suspected men to be messengers which led to young children becoming messengers. But, most children died on the way while sending the messages)
I recommend this book to people ages ten and up. The American Revolutionary War may be difficult to understand for some children under the age of ten. But, if you love reading about historical events, American Revolutionary War, people with courage, or loyalty, I strongly suggest you try reading this fascinating book. I guarantee that you will learn some amazing details that you never thought were in the American Revolutionary War! It is a great way to get your son or daughter to get a small glimpse of how America used to be as it fought for independence from Great Britain.
