It takes a load of smart minds to do something that changes the history of technology, but it takes one mind that believes and works hard to equal those smart minds. When Steve believed that he could make such a creation like the IPad, he didn’t quit and became determined. Even though he was forced to resign from Apple he didn’t care if people thought it was game over for Steve. He fought back with his competing company he founded, NeXT. Some people claimed that Steve had the heart that they wished they had 1/6 of. After some years the company, NeXT was not doing well when the sales for NeXT computers were dropping; then stock prices went plummeting down the hill. Again people had claimed Steve’s career was Game Over, when he still didn’t quit. He was so determined; whatever he did he would not lose his career. Steve was a well structured man that barely cared what people said about him; only what he thought. So he went to his second company, Pixar, and there he produced the hit movie, Toy Story 2, that sold $80 million. That was very good news to him and everything was going as planned it would. Apple was a smart company even without him and he knew it. So they couldn’t resist on buying NeXT and hiring back Steve to manage the company that would eventually be a downfall without him. So Apple bought Steve’s company, NeXT for $420 million dollars and Steve was restored as the rightful CEO of Apple. From this story we not only learned Steve could plan his next move very well, but Steve was able to fight hard and get back to the top if needed to. Maybe actually forcing Steve to resign was a good idea because it brought out Steve’s full strength and showed people Steve was the worthy man to be the CEO of Apple. Here we see that Steve didn’t get to the top by luck, he got to the top with determination and effort.
“Let’s make a business deal Bill Gates,” Steve said. Bill thought as if Steve and he were 50-50, when really Bill Gates was 97 and Steve was 3 in the industry He could do smart decisions on things he didn’t even care about. Every time somebody said something unusual or devastating he knew exactly how to react and how to confront in a debate or conversation. When he was adult age he started making circuit boards referring to Apple computers and a few years later; Apple was born. In the first few years Apple was born they were making several hundreds of millions of dollars and from that, people knew Steve Jobs would be the next face in technology history. In a comeback you need strength, confidence, and cleverness to know what you’re doing. Steve Jobs created these god’s devices and movies that changed the ideal of animation. “How did he do it,” people ask. Like I said before,” it takes a whole bunch of smart minds to change the history of technology, but it takes one mind that believes and tries to equal those smart minds.” Steve knew business inside-out, backwards, and sideways. He’s so smart he can persuade the minds of billions. If billions do believe him than we know how smart he is and why shouldn’t we believe him? Being clever is very important in the industry because you know who you’re hiring and what you’re doing so you know all your footsteps to success. He would fire one of his best friends/co-founder to not get caught up in his path. See how important this is to him? He believes he can do it and tries his best. That’s who people look up to. He has hope. Inspiration is also one of Steve Job’s most outstanding qualities because it shows that he can persuade the minds of billions to believe what he does. And if he can do that, he’s more than just a successful man. Inspiration shows that what he thinks is mostly right because he inspires so many people. His quality tells people that this man has inspired billions so he might be inspiring me right now. He’s a great speech person and inspirers so many people; in every speech he gives, the crowd chants,” Steve! Steve! Steve!” Inspiration is so important in successful men because it makes people look up to you and think of you as a role model.
Of course, Steve didn’t manufacture all his devices by himself; he had people who worked for him. All the employees followed Steve and knew what he requested was the right thing. They called him a true leader. Steve Jobs lead Apple to success after they bought NeXT and they realized Steve was the CEO they were looking for after all. He cares about his company and employees. He was a great leader with great leadership skills. The devices he created require a lot of people to manufacture and study it. Thousands of people listened to Steve and followed him to building the IPad and IPhone. It was truly amazing how Steve Jobs from Silicon Valley led all of them to success. Being a great leader is very important to help Steve be what he is today because it shows how Steve can lead a great army of techs to success like a 5 star general of marines. Steve is leading people to make what’s going to change the world. If Steve Jobs didn’t have leadership, the company wouldn’t have given him the title of CEO of Apple and Pixar. NeXT wouldn’t be a very good competition with Apple if Steve wasn’t their CEO. Apple today wouldn’t have the IPad today if Steve didn’t have leadership skills to lead the company into building it. Success comes to people that have worked hard and led others to their goal.So leadership is very important to Steve Jobs, because it means a whole lot to have people trust you on what you’re doing; and have people believe you. A CEO has to be cruel and understanding. He has to know what and what not is good for his company and his business. He has to know what kind of people are working for him and know his way into success. If his employee’s work was bad he wouldn’t be afraid to say it to them no matter who it was. Either if it was Bill Gates, his Best friend, his co-founder. Once he would say this to his employee’s hard work. You’ve baked a lovely cake, but you’ve used dog litter for frosting. The reason he could stand out was because he wasn’t afraid to speak his mind up. He was rebellious and cruel, but in a good way of constructive criticism. When he said his employee had baked a lovely cake but had used dog litter for frosting, the employee was discouraged, yes, but he learned that what he considered hard work was not what he was expected to do. Steve Jobs was rebellious because he would not take anything as it was such a big thing he couldn’t fix himself. “Apple’s letter is regarding that they’re suing you for stealing and using Apple’s secrets against them, Mr. Jobs,” his employee said one day. Steve was not tense. He said, “Screw it; hire our best lawyers to handle this case.” Apple won and NeXT was to pay a settlement. Steve didn’t bother to give up even though his companies were bleeding money. What he did mind was getting enough strength and knowledge to forget and move on no matter much money he bled. Cruelness is important in leadership because you need your own thoughts to be successful. If you always listen to what other people say, you’ll never learn to become a good CEO. Have you ever seen a mean CEO and thought that was bad? Well it’s reversal because the mean ones are always the best because they know what’s best for them and they don’t let anyone take that away. It’s like picking 13 trout rather than the big marlin. You don’t want an employee to tell you to make 13 companies to equal a big one. That’s a waste of time. You should make a huge successful one that equals those 13 companies. One very important reason why Steve is so famous is because he is rebellious and cruel in constructive ways that will lead his company to success. The people he hired were put to his clever yet frightening test. He would hire the right lawyers y saying something annoying or criticizing that would trigger their anger and see which ones would feel like punching him in the face. Those he would hire. The ones that took Steve Job’s advice all the time would be rejected. He would only take the ones who truly spoke their mind. He wasn’t afraid to say you’re fired or anything else you don’t hear much in business. He speaks what he thinks and is not afraid to take a chance.
I will not hesitate to do what I think are right and what I’m doing! Confidence and trust is very persuading that you can trust people and they believe that you can make it to your goal. If you’re not confident of what you’re doing you’ll never make it to the biggest point of that goal. If Steve Jobs was not confident of what he was doing would he have invented Apple and Pixar; and be miserable working every single day? He’s happy about working for Apple and he loves working for it like it was his own son. Before he became CEO, but was hired back to Apple he paid himself fifty dollars a year. I’ve seen McDonalds workers earn more than that in a day. This proves that he wasn’t making Apple for money and publicity; he was making it for technology; for his interest. I’ve seen business billionaire companies fail because they wait too long to go do their business negotiations. Like I said in Outliers, it not only matters if you get a golden opportunity, you have to seize it. When Steve got his deal for Apple buying NeXT, he treated this like it was his ticket to the top. He booked the meeting as quickly as possible, because this had to be his only chance left. An example for this is in the founding of Facebook. Eduardo was indeed betrayed by Mark and he didn’t play nice guy anymore. He went up to his lawyers and said, “Sue him!”Trust is an important quality for Steve Jobs because when he told employees their work was extremely bad, he didn’t fire them because he believed in them. It told employees that Steve was willing to give them a second chance and not give up on them. In this paragraph we learn that Confidence and trust tells people you believe in them and they’ll do their best to work for you. Confidence is important because it tells your mind that you can do it and you won’t hesitate to wait any longer. Maybe Steve Jobs did once say it was game over for him, but his confidence said otherwise.
In this article we learned that Steve Jobs achieved success by cleverness, confidence, inspiration, leadership, cruelness, and strength to fight back. He was a true technology hero. He was forced to resign from Apple yet he used his competing company, NeXT and fought back. NeXT came corrupted and he still wasn’t ready to give up. Today he has created new technology and changed the world in many ways. Strength to fight back proves that he is so good he can come from corrupt to successful and that he had no bigger advantage than you do in achieving his goals. He believed and did. Confidence proves that he knows what he’s doing and he won’t hesitate to seize his golden opportunity back to the top because it might never happen again; and he wasn’t going to wait around and see. His cleverness proves that he really was the successful inventor that brought god’s devices and animated movies to us. His leadership proved that he didn’t he didn’t come to success individually; he achieved it by leading his employees and himself to success. His cruelness proved that Steve had to be cruel at some points because he didn’t want his company to fail. These are Steve’s most outstanding qualities because it makes him what he is today. They are the main reasons why he is what he is today; unlike some regular qualities. He is the rightful CEO of Apple and he can prove that with these qualities. Today, Apple’s revenues are worth 60 billion dollars. It doesn’t take a whole bunch of smart minds to change the history of technology; only a mind that’s clever, confident, and able to comeback; someone who believes in himself. Steven Paul Jobs never did get a college degree yet he still is one of the most successful people in the world. Steve Jobs has resigned from Apple regarding his medical problems. He’ll always be an important face in our technology history. Either anything in the future happens to him; we’ll always remember him in our hearts. Maybe when people ask you, “Who changed technology;” You can answer proudly, “Steve Jobs did.”
