Always Help Others in Need
We know that HIV can hide for long periods of time in the cells of your body and that it attacks a key part of your immune system – your T-cells or CD4 cells. Your body has to have these cells to fight infections and disease, but HIV invades them, uses them to make more copies of it, and then destroys them. Over time, HIV can destroy so many of your CD4 cells that your body can't fight infections and diseases anymore. When that happens, HIV infection can lead to AIDS. Having HIV does NOT mean a person will also have AIDS. AIDS only occur when people with HIV disease begin to get severe opportunistic infections or their CD4 counts fall below a certain level.
People with healthy immune systems can be exposed to certain viruses, bacteria, or parasites and have no reaction to them—but people living with HIV/AIDS can face serious health threats from what are known as “opportunistic” infections. This means they take advantage of your weakened immune system, and they can cause devastating illnesses
Today, we still do not have a cure. Millions of people are suffering or dying. Unlike other diseases we know Aids/HIV travels silently killing people. Aids/HIV is the third leading killer for young adults Americans. Aids/HIV is not a distant threat but a present. We should not fear this disease, but except it. Today in our society kids of all ages who have Aids/HIV are increased of being bullied, because they are “different.” Kids now a day are afraid to say they have Aids. I believe that anyone who bullies someone with Aids or HIV they should be ashamed. This is because we should not bully/leave them out, but except it. If we truly accept this disease we might just find a cure for this silent killer.
